Blackbird Pura Raza de Quisqueya (6×52) Toro

Blackbird Cigar Co. is starting its 10th anniversary in style! The first release this year is called Pura Raza de Quisqueya, and it honors the company’s master blender, who is known as Papo “El Caballo,” and who is described as “the man whose hands and heart helped shape the very foundation of Blackbird.”

It’s a 6 x 52, box-pressed toro that uses an Ecuadorian wrapper and an undisclosed binder and filler. “We want smokers to approach the cigar with an open mind, allowing them to fully experience and appreciate its character before forming any judgments based on its composition,” Jonas Santana, ceo and co-founder of Blackbird Cigar Co., told halfwheel.

The company calls it a mild-to-medium-bodied profile that invites the smoker into a “nuanced journey of texture, aroma and finesse.”
