Produced in the Dominican Republic, Le Careme is wrapped in a dark, oily Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper with an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder and Nicaraguan fillers. Right off the bat you’ll notice a strong earthy note followed by rich fruit, nuts and cocoa. Black Pepper joins the mix here and there but isn’t overwhelming. Reminiscent of a chocolate soufflé, there’s a sweet spot on everyone’s palate waiting to be hit with Le Careme.
