The Desvalido line was our longest to release line in company history. Because of what the branding represents – we really took our time in getting the blend just right by using both tried and true tobaccos from Oliva Tobacco as well as some interesting hybrids from the US.
My personal favorite vitola in blending this cigar happened to be in the 46 ring gauge…and, we released it in our core line as a Lonsdale because we felt we needed that for our lineup. However, because of the smoking time in the Lonsdale vitola it really didn’t fit my personal preference. So, early last year I began making these in a Corona Gorda to meet my personal format preference … and that cigar is what I typically end the night with.
Over the last year or so we’ve given a good amount of time on how and with whom to announce this cigar with. And I’m really excited to share the format with BL Luxuries, a strong and growing East Coast and online partner that has represented our brand well. BL Luxuries and I are excited to partner and release this cigar so that people can enjoy the same cigar I enjoy every evening.
P.S. It pairs very well with J.W. Black Label Scotch.
